DAILY MEDITATIONS AND AFFIRMATIONS – 291

Luke 18:5,6 – “The judge ignored her for a while, but eventually she got on his nerves. ‘I fear neither God nor man,’ he said to himself, ‘but this widow is so great a nuisance that I will see her righted before she wears me out with her persistence.’ Then the Lord said, ‘if even an evil judge can be worn down like that, don’t you think that God will surely give justice to his people who plead with Him day and night?”

The parable concerns a widow who desperately implores a judge to give her legal protection from an adversary, but she receives NO IMMEDIATE HELP. She refuses to be DISCOURAGED from her quest: she persists until she gains her BREAKTHROUGH.

The goal of Christ’s teaching was to immunize His followers against DISCOURAGEMENT.
Jesus assures us that God will hear us as we turn to him in PERSISTENT prayer.

Affirmations:

I BELIEVE THAT WHAT GOD HAS PROMISED HE IS ALSO ABLE TO PERFORM.

GOD IS GREAT, GOD IS ABLE, GOD IS GOOD, AND GOD IS FAITHFUL TO HIS WORD.

SINCE CHRIST IS IN ME I AM UPHELD BY THE “SPIRIT OF GOD”

Hebrews 1:3 – “Who being the brightness of His glory, and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high.”

John 3:8 tells us, “The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear its sound, but you do not know where it comes from or where it goes. So it is with everyone who is born of the Spirit.”
We were born of the Spirit, but sometimes we want to live out of our heads instead of our hearts. We need to determine in our hearts that we’re going to ride the wind of the Spirit no matter what our reasonings say, no matter what the naysayers say and no matter what the devil says.
Sometimes we need a fresh baptism of the Spirit. Sometimes we need a fresh baptism of fire. Instead of moaning and groaning in the flesh, sometimes we need to start travailing in the Spirit for that new thing He wants to birth in our lives.

“Long before He laid down earth’s foundations, He had us in mind, had settled on us as the focus of His love, to be made whole and holy by His love. – Ephesians 1:4 The Message

Today He is calling you unto Himself. He is going before you, and He going behind you. He is overshadowing you with His Presence; and you will come into a new understanding and a revelation of the power of His Spirit that is within you. For it grieves His Spirit when you walk below your CALLING.
You were created for His pleasure, and then you were created for heavenly works; works of His Kingdom; works worthy of His Cross; works to where man will look and know that you are the light of the world, because He first was the light of the world.

Know that He is placing His light upon you afresh. He is placing His fire upon you afresh. He surrounds you with His goodness, with His mercy, with His gentleness, and with His understanding.

He invites you to continuously fix your eyes upon Him. And as you fix your eyes upon Him, then He will be about your business. So put your eyes upon Him and let Him be Lord, and let yourself be His beloved.

“Don’t live carelessly, unthinkingly. Make sure you understand what the Master wants.” – Ephesians 5:17 The Message
