Seeking Communion – April 8, 2020

John 20:14-16 – She glanced over her shoulder and saw someone standing behind her. It was Jesus, but she didn’t recognize him! “Why are you crying?” he asked her. “Whom are you looking for?” She thought He was the gardener. “Sir,” she said, “if you have taken Him away, tell me where you have put Him, and I will go and get Him.” “Mary!” Jesus said. She turned toward Him. “Master!” she exclaimed.

Mary looked at the Word.
Mary heard the Word.
But she didn’t know the Word. Mary didn’t know who it was who stood before her.
But when the Word became personal to her, calling her by name, instantly she recognized Him.

As I read, affirm, and meditate on it, the Word will speak to me and become personal to me.
